The study investigates the occupational safety and health (OSH) issues faced by workers in the unorganized sectors of Kerala. Employing a descriptive and analytical research design, the study combines qualitative and quantitative methods to evaluate the prevalent OSH issues, their impact on workers' physical and mental well-being, and the adequacy of existing safety measures and health policies. A sample of 280 workers from various unorganized sectors was surveyed using structured questionnaires and interviews. The findings reveal significant OSH challenges, including a lack of protective gear, poor working conditions, and limited awareness of safety practices. The study concludes with recommendations to enhance OSH standards and improve the overall well-being of unorganized sector workers.
