Rights and obligations of insurance companies in life insurance contracts: A qualitative case study from Vietnamese law

In a life insurance contract relationship, rights and obligations are an agreement that one party must perform for the rights and obligations of the other party in this relationship. Accordingly, one of the rights and obligations that forces the insurance company to fulfill the interests of the insurance buyer is: (i) The right to cancel the insurance contract; (ii) Right to refuse insurance payment; (iii) Life insurance company's obligation to pay insurance... To concretize this, the State of Vietnam has issued the Law on Insurance Business in 2022. However, in practical application related to the rights and obligations of life insurance companies, there are still some problems, leading to insurance companies using many different reasons to limit the rights of life insurance companies. insurance participants. Through qualitative research method, the work will point out the shortcomings and propose some solutions in the future.
