Article Processing Charge

1. APC Payment and Revision Requirement
All authors whose manuscripts have undergone peer review are required to revise their papers according to the reviewers’ and editors’ comments. Upon acceptance, an Article Processing Charge (APC) of USD 1,250 must be paid to cover the costs associated with the editorial process, peer review management, typesetting, online hosting, archiving, and dissemination of the published article.

2. APC Discount Policies
To promote inclusivity and support authors facing financial constraints, the following discounts are available on the APC:

2.1 Discount for Authors from Least Developed Countries (LDCs)
Authors whose primary affiliation is with institutions in countries officially classified as Least Developed Countries (as per the United Nations list) are eligible for a 35% discount on the APC.

  • This discount applies only if all co-authors are affiliated with institutions located in LDCs.
  • If the paper has co-authors from multiple countries, the discount applies only if the majority of authors are from LDCs.
  • Authors must provide valid institutional affiliation details at the time of submission to be considered for this discount.

2.2 Discount for Students with Limited Funding
Students who are the primary authors and who have limited financial resources may apply for a 35% discount on the APC.

  • Eligibility requires submission of a valid Student ID card and an official letter from the university or institution confirming the student’s current enrollment status.
  • Proof of studentship must be submitted via email to support@learning-gate.com at or before the time of manuscript submission or acceptance.
  • In the case of papers with multiple authors, the majority of the authors must be students for the discount to be applicable.
  • This discount aims to facilitate the publication of student-led research, particularly for those without institutional funding support.

2.3 Discount for Active Reviewers and Editorial Board Members
As recognition for their valuable contributions to the journal’s peer review process, active reviewers and members of the editorial board are entitled to a 35% discount on the APC for any paper they author or co-author.

3. Payment Terms

  • The APC, after applicable discounts, must be paid before the article is formally published online.
  • Payment instructions will be provided upon acceptance of the manuscript.
  • Failure to complete payment in a timely manner may delay publication.

4. Effective Date of the New Policy

  • This updated APC policy and discount structure will be applied to all new submissions received after May 20, 2025.
  • Manuscripts submitted prior to this date will be subject to the previous APC fee schedule.
  • Authors submitting around the cutoff date are advised to verify the applicable policy with the editorial office.
